MEMUPUK PERTUMBUHAN BAHARU Kelompok Perladangan mencatatkan keuntungan sebelum cukai sebanyak RM1,181.4 juta pada tahun 2013, berbanding RM1,118.7 juta pada tahun sebelumnya. Harga purata MSM sebanyak RM2,333 setiap tan metrik berbanding dengan RM2,843 setiap tan metrik yang dicapai sebelumnya merupakan penyumbang utama pencapaian prestasi yang bertambah baik ini. Harga buah tandan segar (BTS) juga merosot kepada RM448 setiap tan metrik berbanding RM541 setiap tan metrik yang dicatatkan pada tahun 2012, walaupun pengeluaran BTS meningkat kepada 5.05 juta tan metrik berbanding 4.91 juta tan metrik. Hasil turut bertambah baik kepada 19.6 tan metrik setiap hektar kerana cuaca yang menggalakkan sepanjang musimmenuai. Cultivating New Growth The Plantation Cluster registered a profit before tax of RM1,181.4 million in 2013, an increase from RM1,118.7 million posted the previous year. This performance was mainly attributed to the average CPO price of RM2,333 per tonne compared to RM2,843 per tonne achieved previously. The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) also declined to RM448 per tonne, against RM541 per tonne recorded in 2012. This was despite an increase in FFB production to 5.05 million tonnes, from 4.91 million tonnes. Yields have also improved to 19.6 tonnes per hectare owing to favourable weather conditions during the harvesting season.
