Subsequently, he was appointed as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer on 1 August 2014. He started his career as an investment analyst and later worked as a manager in the financial advisory arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. His corporate advisory experiences include dealings with corporations, multinational and institutions involved in construction and engineering, real estate development, plantations, manufacturing, oil and gas, venture capital, fund management and stockbroking. While at CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, he was part of the team that established the bank’s private equity business and was involved in various aspects of its operations including fund structuring and fund raising, investment evaluation and structuring, monitoring and execution of divestment plans. He was the Group Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of AWC Berhad where he led the successful restructuring and transformation of the company into a leading provider of engineering services and solutions and integrated facilities management in Malaysia, Singapore and the Middle East. He joined UEM Group Berhad as the Group Chief Operating Officer, Business Units in October 2012 and brought along with him a wealth of cross functional experience from his background in financial advisory and as a business operator.
